Do you expect that there will be a good game released? If you think so, shame on you.

This is the version 1.0 of "BEAUTIFUL MUST END", also known as "燃えつきたアネモネの肖像" or "Portrait of Burnt Anemone". I chose the English name very carefully. If you get it, it's painful, isn't it?
It is a sequel to the previous game, "Delusion | Neet cannot be idol.".

Be warned that the story features heavy usage of slurs, misogynistic commentary, themes of incest, sexual abuse and suicide.
Although it is a spoiler, it may be disturbing to some players. If you do not feel comfortable reading such material, then please do not download the game.

CURRENT BUGS:
Sometimes went fast forwarding, images may get stuck moving from one position to another or zooming in and out.
Specific lottery numbers for the lottery minigame will not display any dialogue.
Some timing of transitions is off.

Playtesting was done on Arch Linux and Ubuntu LTS. It should work on other Linux distros that can run both AppImage and Ren'Py.
Further playtesting was also done on Windows 10 Pro, and should work with Windows 8.1 to Windows 11. I am unsure about Windows 7 support.

The game will receive bug fixes and updates in the future. There are a lot of things I couldn't include in the first release, so I'll be adding additional scenes, images, and features. Expect it sometime in mid-to-late 2024. If it's not out by then, feel free to kill me.

An omake is provided with the game files to better explain the scenario and controls. In the future update, I will include in-game instructions for the controls.

I've seen many fans interpet Karamatsu as a genuinely charming casanova.
Although he is a bit pretentious, he is written as someone who is truly selfless and romantic.
However, I feel that him wooing his brothers shouldn't be like a cutesy love novel.
To me, my favorite kind of Karamatsu is similar from S3E11B (ピザ) or  S2E10A (カラ松とブラザー).
That's the best kind of Karamatsu! A shithead! A coward! A weirdo!
I wanted to write a Karamatsu like that, mixed with my own view of him. I hope it is a good balance of canon and fanon. It's probably still bad, either way. You Karamatsu girls are really picky, you know?
I wanted to see the sextuplets portrayed in more darker ways, and not in an erotic manner. I want to feel the anguish. The anguish of wanting to impress others, of wanting to being accepted by not only your family, but society at large. I want others to feel that anguish with me.

... But it is a parody game, so try to laugh at it too. Because an incestuous relationship pursued by an involuntary celibate man cannot possibly go well.
