I've come with another terrible game for you to install.

Here is the version 0.1 release of "DELUSION | NEET CANNOT BE IDOL", or "This NEET can't be an idol". It's the same title, really.
Just as a heads up, there is heavy usage of slurs, sexual and suicidal imagery.
If you are not comfortable reading such material then do not download the game.

Playtesting was done on Arch Linux and Ubuntu LTS. It should work in other distros that can run both AppImage and Ren'Py.
I have not fully tested in Windows because of shitty OpenGL in Virtualbox, but it should work about the same. The installer is Inno Setup, so if any strange messages appear, blame that ww

The game will receive bug fixes and updates in the future. Updates will include new artwork, events, and dialog. I won't forget, I promise

CURRENT BUGS

• Choromatsu's menu dialog doesn't update properly if Stamina changes (i.e losing 30 Stamina, and gaining 30 Stamina again)
• Choromatsu's menu dialog has no portraits when Delusion is high. Not really a bug, just didn't wanna draw anymore.
• If opening the game in command line, blit errors will appear when playing the minigame. Error is ignored but log still appears.

The bugs do not affect main gameplay. There may be more I did not catch during playtesting.

A lot of Choromatsu fan works in both Japanese and English don't take advantage of his character.
That isn't to say they are bad. I love everyones works, it's beautiful to see people making works inspired by what they love. Even if it's something weird. You know what you all write, I've seen those horrid tags.
But, I find that they focus more on him being reactive instead of active.
Since he's a weirdo at heart, isn't it more fun to write about that aspect of him?
I wanted to exaggerate that strangeness to the point where the tables turn, where Choromatsu looks like the irrational one compared to someone like Osomatsu.

I know many people who act how Choromatsu does in this game.
Obsessed with unrealistic goals, expecting magical outcomes despite never putting in effort, and lashing out at others who don't play along.
For example, "I'm going to become a virtual Youtuber!", only to never make videos and just spam tweets all day.
Or say  "I'm going to become a game developer!" when they don't even know math, yet believe they'll make an engine from scratch. Not that I would know
They become frustrated when realizing that they never found success. They become distraught when others criticize them.
Still, they actively choose not to properly improve themselves. Maybe they know better, maybe they don't, but regardless they will expect the world and more.
...Maybe I just have bad luck with people?
Regardless, writing such a person seemed fun, so I wanted to write a Choromatsu who's that sort of person.
